To facilitate faster item lookup within the Rapid Fleet mobile application, QR codes can be generated and printed directly from the desktop version. These codes allow users to scan items instead of manually searching for them. QR codes can be printed for Equipment, Assets, and Inventory. Each item type follows a slightly different process, which is outlined below.
QR Code Printing for Equipment
To print QR codes for equipment, navigate to the Equipment section in the left-hand menu.
Once the equipment list is displayed, select the desired items.
-
Click on Print Labels button.
-
A label size can be selected from the dropdown menu. If a new label size is required, a request should be submitted to the Rapid Fleet team.
-
If a partially used sticker sheet is being utilized, enter the number of labels (cells) to be skipped.
Each printed label will contain the QR code and the name of the equipment.
QR Code Printing for Inventory Items
For inventory items, the Inventory tab in the left-side menu must be selected.
Once the inventory page is opened:
-
Click on the Actions button, followed by Print QR Codes.
-
A new screen will be loaded, where parts can be added for QR code generation.
-
Once a part is added, it will appear on the right side of the screen.
-
A label size can be chosen from the dropdown at the top.
-
After that, click the Get PDF button.
Each generated label will include the QR code, along with the item name, part number, price, and vendor information.
QR Code Printing for Assets
To print QR codes for assets, go to Assets in the left-hand menu.
-
The Print QR Code Sheets option should be selected.
-
A screen will appear where assets can be added for printing.
-
Once added, the items will be displayed on the right-hand side of the screen.
-
Select the preferred label size from the dropdown at the top.
-
Finally, the Get PDF button should be clicked.
Each printed label will display the QR code, as well as the asset name, model, and serial number.
If any adjustments are needed for label sizes or additional printing options, the Rapid Fleet support team should be contacted.
