Rapid On The GO! - How to Log a Disposal Site Visit

Overview

This article describes the Disposal Site Visits feature in Rapid On The Go! (ROTG), which lets hydrovac drivers log each stop to dump waste at a disposal vendor directly from their phone, on the same job ticket they are already working.

How to Enable the Functionality

Disposal Site Visits is off by default. An office admin turns it on per company in ERP:

Company> My Company> On The GO! Settings > Advanced tab

Two settings live there for this feature:

Enable Disposal Site Visits: turns the whole feature on or off. When off, drivers do not see the Disposal Site Visits row on the Ticket tab at all.
 

Allow operators to add unlisted disposal sites: controls whether drivers can create a new disposal vendor from the app, or are limited to picking from the approved vendor list.
Companies whose crews do not dump material can leave both settings off, and the feature stays hidden.

Logging a Disposal Site Visit

The driver opens the job ticket and goes to the Ticket tab, taps to add a Disposal Site Visit, then picks the vendor where the material was dumped. The vendor list is pulled from the company's approved disposal vendors in ERP, with recently used sites at the top and an option to sort by distance from either the jobsite or the driver's current location.

The driver then fills in the visit details: Date, Materials Disposed, Amount Disposed, Cost, and Additional Details. These match the fields used on the ERP desktop tool, so the record looks the same wherever it is entered.

A photo of the paper disposal ticket can be attached from the camera or photo library. The photo appears as a thumbnail on the visit record.

Once the visit is saved, it appears in the running list of disposal visits on the Ticket tab, along with an updated cost total for the ticket.

How to Add an Unlisted Disposal Site

If the company allows it, drivers can log a visit at a vendor that is not on the approved list. The option to add an unlisted site appears when picking a vendor. If a driver does not see this option, the company has the setting turned off, and the driver should check with an administrator.

Working Offline

Disposal Site Visits works without a signal. When a driver logs a visit while offline, the visit and its photo save locally on the phone and sync to ERP automatically once the connection returns. Nothing is lost.
