Clocking settings are essential for maintaining accurate time tracking, enforcing accountability, and streamlining job management. Proper configuration ensures that operators follow standardized procedures, reducing errors and improving operational efficiency.
How to Access Clocking Settings
- Navigate to Company > My Company.
- Select On The Go! Settings > Clocking Settings.
Key Configuration Options
Enable Future Clocking
- Check this box to allow users with access to Human Resources > Clocking Log to clock in/out employees for future times.
Enable Clocking Rounding
- Activate rounding rules to standardize clock-in/out times based on the selected rounding type.
Clocking Enforcement
- Choose how to enforce operator clocking:
- None: No restrictions.
- Prompt on Sign In/Out: Prompt operators to clock in/out during sign in/out.
- Always: Automatically clock in/out operators upon sign in/out.
Enforce Clock-In
- Restrict clock-ins to only when at least one job is active or within the defined Clock In Time Buffer.
- Require clock-in within the buffer to access and complete job tickets. It would not allow the operator to clock in before the time buffer.
Clocking Time Rounding Type
- Select from:
- None
- Up
- Down
- Nearest
Clock In Time Buffer
- Define the maximum number of minutes before a job’s Pour Time (Job Time in Job Information window) that an operator can clock in.
Clock Out Time Buffer
- Set the allowable minutes before or after the last job’s end time. Clock-outs outside this window are flagged as too early or too late.
Max Clock-In Length
- Specify the maximum duration (in minutes) an operator can remain clocked in without clocking out. Prevents prolonged untracked time due to missed clock-outs.
Advanced Settings
- Access additional configurations by selecting the Advanced button. Read about it here: Clock-in Type on ROTG
