There are a number of different ways to text message your operators, customers, employees, or ready mix vendors, all of which we will cover in this chapter.
Send the job ticket information to the Operator/Customer
- Right-click on a job, then select Crew and select one of these options:

Send SMS/Text - select Jobticket Information, Job Address or Custom Text.
If the operator is booked on the job, and his phone number is in his employee account, all information will auto populate. You can also send job address and custom text. -
Send GO! Message - select Jobticket Information”, Job Address or Custom Text.
This will notify the Operator by the Rapid On The GO! Application. - Email Job Ticket – this option will create an email, which can be sent to the operator’s email. If there is no email or you want to add more, add it in the recipient list.

Send SMS/Text - select Jobticket Information, Job Address or Custom Text.
- Send the message pressing the Send button.
Send job information to an Employee
- Right-click on the employee’s icon on the Employee Panel (Dispatch Central grid).
- Select one of these options:
- Send GO! Message - send message via Rapid On the Go!.
- Text Job Ticket Information – send SMS job information.
- Text Job Address – send SMS with the job address.

Text Custom Message – send SMS with custom text.
Send multiple texts at the same time
- Select the check box for all jobs you wish to send texts for.
- Right-click on one of the jobs and select Crew.
- Choose a method - Send SMS/Text, Send GO! Message or Email Job Ticket.
- Choose Jobticket Information.
- In the Send Jobticket Information to Crew window you see every job and all the operators to which the Jobticket Information will be send. You can remove the operators, who you don't want to send a message to by clicking on the X in front of his/her row.
- The message, which is generated automatically based on the selected jobs, is shown on the right.
- You can also change the recipients information by selecting the desired row and then click Edit Recipient button.

- You can edit the text in the message area. The default fields and their arrangement is set from the message text template. See below how to edit the message template.
- Press the Send button.
Check the message history from Company - Message Log.
Manage the information you wish to send through the job ticket text
There are two types of text message templates. The standard one with all the fields arranged in a vertical order(by your choice) and a customized one, in which you can add whatever fields and text you want.
Standard message template
- Click Tools from the Dispatch Central.
- Select Manage Text Job Ticket Template.
- From this screen you will see information that will be included in the text on the left, and available information you may add on the right. You may remove information from the left with the icon, or add information with the icon. You may also re-arrange the order of the text information with the arrows.
- Re-arrange the information in the order you wish.
- Finish by pressing the Save button.
Customized message
- Go to Company - My Company.
- Select Messages&Disclaimers.
- Click the "drill" icon and then the "plus" sign in front the "Crew Job Information Message" field.
- In the Add/Edit Company Message/Disclaimer window type a name for the template and write custom text in the Message / Disclaimer area. Use [%...%] syntax to add fields which will be automatically filled based on the selected job.
- For example [%Job ID%], [%Job Location%], etc. The names of the fields are shown in Field column of the standard template.
- Click Save and the template is now your default one.
If you repeat the procedure to send message for more than one job, the message will look like this:
In addition to sending texts, you may also receive texts in Rapid ERP if you have the feature enabled. To view incoming texts, click on the Tools button from the tool bar, then select Phone Text Messaging History. You will now see a list of all incoming and outgoing text messages. Select a row to see the body of all incoming and outgoing text messages.
Text Messaging History
- Click Tools from the Dispatch Central.
- Select Messaging Log and History.
- Select the contact to see text message body.
