Overview
Rapid ERP version 3.29 was published on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, after 3 AM EST. Version 3.28 was merged into this release and skipped in version numbering.
This release includes 33 new functionalities, 39 improvements, and 80 bug fixes covering recurring job scheduling, dispatch, invoicing, payroll, and reporting.
Highlights
- No more freezing when printing or emailing: Invoices, job tickets, and email previews now open and print immediately without locking up or crashing the app.
- Keep working during large exports: You can now navigate and refresh Billing Central without errors while large invoice exports process in the background.
- Faster dispatch for repeat jobs: Recurring jobs now show up as lightweight placeholders on the schedule, and heavy scheduling calculations run overnight so the dispatch board stays quick and responsive during the day.
- Reliable customer reports: Customer statements and AR Aging reports now load smoothly without timing out or showing blank screens, even for accounts with large invoice histories.
- Better overall system speed: Heavy background data tasks have been moved away from daily work screens so common accounting and dispatch tasks run noticeably faster.
New features
- Added a third equipment pricing tier for double-time billing that can automatically apply on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays, in addition to the existing regular and overtime rates.
- Added a GPS Analyzer window in Crew Central that lets dispatch and payroll staff review all jobs with mismatched ticket-versus-GPS times in one grid and selectively overwrite ticket times with the GPS-recorded times. This feature needs to be enabled per database to work. To turn the feature on, please send a request to Support.
- Added recurring-job scheduling to Dispatch with an Outlook-style editor, where dispatchers can choose a daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly pattern, set the interval and specific days, apply holiday adjustments, and define an end condition. Dispatch automatically generates upcoming occurrences, flags scheduling conflicts, lets you skip or cancel individual occurrences, and copies job details across the entire series.
- Added a preview of upcoming occurrences for a recurring job before the recurrence rule is saved.
- Added the ability to skip a single occurrence of a recurring job, with an option to restore all skipped occurrences later.
- Added a choice when rescheduling a recurring job between shifting the entire series or keeping the original schedule for future jobs, with an option to remember that choice.
- Added checkboxes to choose which fields, such as job site, pricing, equipment, or crew, carry over from the original job to each occurrence of a recurring job.
- Added the ability to edit the date or time of a single occurrence in a recurring job series without affecting the rest of the series.
- Added the ability to end a recurring job series early, with a choice to cancel only future occurrences or the current occurrence plus all future ones.
- The recurring job dialog now automatically opens when a user changes the date or time of a recurring job, so the series impact is addressed before the change is saved.
- Recurring job occurrences that haven't been created yet now appear on the dispatch and schedule screens as visually distinct placeholders, which automatically turn into real jobs when clicked.
- Added a "slide whole window" holiday adjustment option for recurring jobs, so if any occurrence in the same week falls on a company holiday, every date in that window shifts forward together.
- Added a setting to control how many future occurrences of a recurring job are created in advance on the schedule.
- Added a configurable option so that when an operator's timesheet hours are corrected on the Job Ticket, the updated hours can flow into invoicing instead of only affecting Payroll.
- Added the ability to configure a second surcharge, useful for charging a separate percentage-based fee for certain customers or jobsites.
Improvements
- Added a new report that shows Tier 1 (regular) and Tier 2 (overtime) pricing hours separately instead of only as a combined total.
- Added a new Accounting report listing every customer's average days to pay and average days outstanding on open invoices, one row per customer.
- Added two exportable custom reports (AR Import and Revenue Import) that lay out invoice and job data in the format needed to import into an external accounting system.
- Job-site photos taken in the mobile app can now have the date, time, and GPS location captured and associated with the photo.
- The DVIR report's map now shows identifying location details, such as street, city, and GPS coordinates, for where the operator completed the inspection.
- Added the option to copy a job's gallery photo attachments onto new jobs created through multibooking or the "Repeat Job" option.
- Added Jobsite Type as an available field so it can be included on job ticket and filled job ticket print templates.
- Added Left Yard, Arrived at Job, Left Job, and Returned at time fields (pulled from GPS/Geotab data), plus the dispatch role field, as new options in the PDF ticket mapping builder.
- Added two more fringe code fields on the Prevailing Wage tab, allowing up to four fringe codes per jobsite.
- Reduced the font size of the invoice terms and conditions text so it consistently fits on a single printed page.
- Added the company email address to the header of printed invoices and job tickets.
- Made the existing payroll report available to an additional branch.
- Added the job name to the Job Information section of the invoice.
- Invoice and Pricing Notes now automatically stamp each new note with the date, time, and employee name.
- Removed several fields (Job Name, Job Number, Building/Lot Number, PO Number, Size Requested, Volume, Job Type) from the printed invoice to streamline the layout.
- Removed several fields (Job Name, Job Number, Size Requested, Volume, Job Type) from the printed invoice layout for certain customers.
- Updated Washington state sales tax rates to reflect the current rate schedule.
- Added two custom text fields (hidden by default) to Payroll Task Types for use in custom payroll reports, and added a visible Save button to the Task Types screen.
- Added a filter to the Equipment/Operator Assignment report so it can show assigned equipment only, unassigned equipment only, or all equipment.
- Made the Special Instructions field on a job editable from the mobile app, not just from the desktop ERP.
- Standardized text filters throughout the application to match text anywhere in the field instead of an inconsistent mix of behaviors.
- Checking the "Accepted" box on a quote now automatically sets its status to Accepted, corrected the misspelled "Recended" status to "Rescinded," and added a new "Completed" quote status to track quotes that converted into invoiced jobs.
- The right-click "email invoice and job ticket" option in Accounting Billing now includes a choice of whether to send the disclaimer/terms and conditions along with the job ticket.
- The "Append sender name" option is now available when sending job ticket text messages to multiple jobs at once, not just on individual texts.
- File uploads in the Gallery now support "Save As Template" and "Assign Access" for the User Access permissions grid, matching the same functionality already available for user permissions.
- The date range selected in Accounting Receivable is now remembered between sessions instead of resetting to the default view every time.
- The Accounting Billing grid now offers Dispatch Notes and Estimated Volume as selectable columns, so invoices can be audited for billing accuracy without opening each one individually.
- The jobsite's Job # field can now be added to the Accounting Collections Open Balance Activity grid and to the detailed AR Aging report.
- Marking a unit out of service with the reason "Transferred out of branch" no longer requires entering a back-in-service date.
- Added a "Pump Hours" field to the DVIR Report.
- Jobsites for customers that require a lot number can now be created without a default placeholder value, so dispatchers are still prompted to enter the actual lot number on each job.
- Improved the recurring job configuration dialog so the Save and Cancel buttons stay visible at the bottom of the screen no matter how far the user has scrolled.
- The Labor Hours report's Equipment Operator filter now supports selecting multiple specific operators at once.
- Added the ability to bill equipment as on-job hours only while still billing labor port-to-port, so the two charge types no longer have to follow the same rule.
- Custom Employee Types can now be linked to a system billing role (Operator, Laborer, or Oiler), so crew hours logged under a custom role bill using that role's pay rate.
- Notes saved in the Dispatch screen's Daily Notes panel now automatically show a timestamp and the name of the user who saved them.
- Added a company setting to allow finance charges on retainage (off by default), made the retainage checkbox on an invoice editable even when its accounting period is locked, and added a "Retainage Held" column to the monthly statement report.
- When merging invoices, the Purchase Order number from the child invoice now carries over automatically to the merged parent invoice.
- Added an ERP alert when a customer cancels a job through the Rapid Service Request portal, along with a business-day-based rule that blocks RSR cancellations too close to the scheduled job date.
- Added the option to run sales reports in Reports Central based on job date or child/merged invoice date.
- Added a flashing red alert in the Jobs/Dispatch fleet view when a unit is marked Out of Service in Rapid Fleet.
- Added a new report that flags invoices whose amount was changed after the invoice was already processed, filterable by date range.
- Added a configurable option so that jobs entered by an employee marked as a sales agent are automatically attributed to that sales agent.
- Added individual crew-member fields to the PDF ticket mapper so each assigned crew member's name can print on its own line instead of all crew members being combined onto one line.
- Added a custom payroll export report with columns for employee ID, name, regular hours, overtime hours, per diem, and truck pay, formatted for import into an external payroll system.
Bug fixes

- Fixed Rapid ERP so launching it from a pinned taskbar shortcut checks for and prompts available updates the same way launching from the Desktop or Start Menu does.
- Restored the "Add recipients" button when sending a custom Go! message so multiple recipients can be selected again.
- Fixed the Active checkbox in Accounting Billing so inactive jobs no longer display as active.
- Fixed the detached Dispatch window so maximizing it keeps it on the monitor it was moved to instead of jumping back to the main screen.

- Restored the ability to type a custom free-text comment on a clocking log entry instead of only being able to choose one from a dropdown list.
- Fixed equipment out-of-service scheduling so cancelled jobs are no longer treated as a scheduling conflict when taking a unit out of service.
- Fixed an error on the Cancelled Jobs tab in Dispatch that occurred when detaching the window without opening that tab first while docked.
- Added a block preventing jobs from being scheduled, updated, or completed for customers marked Inactive.

- Fixed merged invoices so the Grand Total always matches the sum of the invoice's line items.
- Fixed a mismatch between the Merged Invoice Summary line-item total and the printed invoice's line-item total caused by an incorrect tax calculation.
- Fixed new jobsites so they correctly inherit the customer's Prelim setting instead of always defaulting to Prelim Required.
- Fixed an error that prevented adding a job right after creating a new customer record.
- Fixed invoice export to QuickBooks Online so invoices for a customer whose export failed no longer get exported under an unrelated customer's account.
- Fixed Repeat Job so the "Strict" checkbox on size requested stays checked on the newly created job.
- Fixed the Pricing Scheme screen so marking a scheme inactive and saving no longer triggers a false "unsaved changes" prompt on close.

- Fixed crashes on non-English Windows language settings when opening Company Information or opening/editing a job in Dispatch.
- Fixed Crew Central's DOT duty violation check to use the operator's actual timesheet clock-in/clock-out times instead of scheduled job-ticket times, preventing false violation flags.

- Fixed an error that caused the Credit Reference report to fail instead of opening.
- Fixed an error that prevented the Invoice Information window from opening.

- On a job's Pricing tab, surcharge checkbox states shown in the grid no longer mismatch what was actually saved and applied after recalculating.
- When adding equipment with an assigned operator to a job in Dispatch, the employee's actual role now carries over correctly instead of always defaulting to "Operator."
- Repeating a past job to today's date no longer carries over the original crew and equipment when the "Remove Unit & Crew On Job Date Change" option is enabled.
- Fixed the SMS Sender Name Format so it displays the actual employee first and last name values instead of raw placeholders.
- Adding a new jobsite from within a Quote now keeps the pricing scheme selected on that quote instead of reverting to a default, which had been producing incorrect invoices.
- Selecting the correct city/state from the jobsite address lookup no longer switches the State to an incorrect neighboring state that previously blocked saving the jobsite.
- Assigning a permit to a jobsite now automatically flags that jobsite as requiring safety checks, so dispatchers are warned when assigning an operator who lacks the required permit or license.
- Fixed a discount set to apply only to specific invoice items so it no longer gets calculated against every line item on the invoice.
- Closing the equipment selection window from a job in Dispatch without making changes no longer triggers an unnecessary "unsaved changes" confirmation.

- Fixed a defect where a flat dollar-amount invoice discount was deducted once for every selected category instead of once total, and where tax and surcharge were calculated before the discount was applied.

- Fixed the Invoice Number placeholder on custom Job Ticket templates so it correctly pulls and displays the invoice number once an invoice exists for the job.
