Does the Rapid On The GO! app track me all the time?
No. Rapid On The GO! only collects location information during specific work‑related actions in the app, or when optional background tracking is enabled by your company.
When is my location recorded?
Your location may be recorded when you:
- Log in or out
- Clock in or clock out
- Take a photo in the app
- Submit HOS logs or DVIRs
- Verify or update a job site
- Complete checklists
- Receive and open in‑app messages
Location data is tied to these actions—it is not continuous by default.
Can the app track me when I’m logged out?
No. If you are logged out of the app, no location data is collected or stored.
What is background location tracking?
Some companies enable optional background tracking to support:
- Hours of Service (HOS) and ELD compliance
- Dispatching and estimating arrival times
If enabled:
- It only works while you are logged in
- It follows rules set by your company (for example, only after clocking in)
- It can be limited or completely disabled by your company
What does the app not track?
Rapid On The GO! does not:
- Track you outside of work‑related app use
- Track you when you’re logged out
- Access personal data like contacts, messages, or other apps
- Record audio or video
- Track you secretly or without permission
Can I see what location data was recorded?
Yes. You can view your Tracking Log in the app, which shows:
- The date and time location data was recorded
- The associated coordinates
This gives you full transparency into what’s collected.
Why does the app need “Always” location permission?
This allows work features—such as time tracking, compliance reporting, and dispatch—to function properly, including when the app is running in the background. You’ll always see why this permission is requested.
Who controls how location tracking is used?
Your company controls whether optional background tracking is enabled and how often it runs. RapidWorks provides the tools, but customers choose how they’re used.
Should I be concerned about my privacy?
No. Location data is used only for work‑related purposes, with clear rules, user visibility, and full control. Tracking stops when you log out.
