Overview
In RapidWorks ERP, users have the ability to create Text Distribution Lists to streamline internal communication. These lists make it easy to send a single text message to a designated group of people within the company — such as dispatchers, operators, or office staff — without having to manually select each recipient every time.
Purpose
Text Distribution Lists are especially useful for:
Sending quick alerts or updates to specific teams.
Notifying multiple operators of schedule changes.
Sharing general company-wide reminders or important announcements.
How to Create a Text Distribution List
Open the Text Creation Form:
Start a new message. This will open the text creation form — the same window used to create new distribution lists.
Add Recipients:
Click Add Recipient to open the employee search window.
Search for each employee you would like to include in your list.
Drag and Drop Numbers:
Once you locate the employee, drag the number you wish to text to one of the following:
An existing distribution list, if you’re adding them to a current group.
The “+” sign to create a new distribution list.
Name Your List:
If creating a new list, give it a clear and descriptive name (e.g., Field Crew, Dispatch Team, Office Staff).
Save Your List:
Once all desired recipients have been added you can either use the distribution list, or close the form.
The list will now be available for future text messages.
