Purpose
Service Plan Management allows you to create and configure maintenance schedules for your equipment and creating inspection templates, adding them to work orders, and configuring service plans in Rapid Fleet.
Here's how to set up a new service plan:
- From your dashboard, navigate to Service Plan Management
- Click "Add Service Plan" to create a new maintenance schedule
- Enter the required information:
- Plan Name: Give your service plan a descriptive name
- Equipment Type: Select the appropriate equipment category (Truck/Chassis or Boom/Pump/Vacuum)
Adding Service Items
Once you've created a service plan, you can add specific maintenance items:
- Open the Service Plan, locate the "Add Service Item" section
- For each maintenance task:
- Enter a descriptive Service Name (e.g., "Transmission oil", "Brake disks and pads")
- Set the maintenance Interval in miles
- Click "Add" to include the item in your plan
Important Notes:
- All service intervals must be positive numbers
- Each service item requires a unique name
- Service items are tracked by mileage for Truck/Chassis equipment
Accessing Inspection Templates
- Start from the Rapid Works dashboard
- Navigate to Service Plan Management via the main menu
Creating a New Inspection Template
- From the Service Plans section, select the Mechanic Inspections tab
- Enter a descriptive name for your template in the Template Name field
Adding Inspection Sections
- Use the section creation form to add individual inspection components
- Enter a clear section name (e.g., "Brake check")
- Each section requires a name before saving
Adding Inspections to Work Orders
- Open the desired work order
- Locate the inspection assignment section
- Select your template from the available options
Add Inspections to Service Plans
- Access the service schedule configuration screen
- Enter the desired interval value (numeric)
- Select the measurement unit (e.g., miles)
Important Notes:
- You’ll need to be a shop manager or owner to create templates
- Template names must be unique and descriptive
- All section names are required fields
- Service intervals must be positive numbers
- Changes save automatically when configured
