Purpose
This module allows to import Assets from Rapid ERP as one piece of Equipment split it into chassis and boom or skip importing particular assets.
1. Open the ERP Integration Section
From the main navigation menu, click ERP Integration to access the section
2. Locate Equipment to Import
Go to the Import Management tab and find the equipment you want to import (e.g., 47M-156 Boom). You'll see a list of pending imports along with their current status
3. Choose an Import Option
In the Import Decision dialog, select one of the following:
- Skip Import – Use for inactive or sold equipment that won’t be maintained.
- Import as Complete Unit – Ideal for vehicles serviced as a single unit (e.g., pickup trucks).
- Split Equipment (Parent + 2 Children) – Use when components (e.g., boom and chassis) need separate maintenance plans.
4. Review Equipment Fields and Naming Conventions of the 2 Child Pieces of Equipment
1. At the top of each rectangle and below “Boom Mapping” and “Truck/Chassis Mapping” there is a “Preview” field that shows what the name of each piece of equipment will be when the user is done with their selections. Picking the checkboxes below in the preferred order will help the user re-name their pieces of equipment until they settle on what they like.
2. Once you have chosen the names for each of your pieces of equipment you can then choose the ERP fields that will be shown in Fleet when clicking on each piece of equipment later on. Usually, fields like "License State” and “VIN” won’t be relevant to a Boom so those should be assigned to the truck/chassis instead. Other fields will be Boom-specific and the customer will want to see them specifically on that child piece of equipment if they click it later on. All these naming conventions and field pre-sets are completely up to the customer’s choice so it is a good idea to have them on a call for the original import of at least the first equipment of each type that you will map.
5. Preview Final Equipment Details
Click Next to review all selected equipment details before completing the import. This screen lets you confirm names, field mappings, and configurations
6. Import Your Equipment and Review the Newly Created Equipment
1. Press “Import” when ready and view the Equipment split into 3 in the Equipment tab via an arrow accordion before proceeding with next equipment.
2. All settings chosen most recently on the split menu will save as defaults next time you choose to import again so it is good to do all imports of one type (e.g. boom) first before moving on to any equipment that is another type if multiple types of equipment need to be split.
