2. Office Manager

The Office Manager role is designed for administrative staff who need broad access but with some limitations.

  • Assign work orders to mechanics

• Equipment & Inventory
  • View equipment status
  • Monitor inventory levels
  • Access inventory reports
• People Management
  • View employee information
  • Access basic personnel data

Limitations:

• Cannot create or edit service plans
• Limited access to certain administrative functions

3. Shop Manager

The Shop Manager role is designed for those who oversee daily shop operations.

4. Mechanic

The Mechanic role is designed for technicians who perform maintenance and repairs.

5. Restricted Mechanic

The Restricted Mechanic role is designed for mechanics with limited access to work orders.

Capabilities:

• Work Order Management 
  • Submit new work orders
  • Manage only assigned work orders
  • Update status of assigned work
  • Add notes to assigned work

Limitations:

• Cannot be combined with Owner, Office Manager, Mechanic, or Shop Manager roles
• Can only see and manage work orders specifically assigned to them
• Limited access to system features

6. Inventory Manager

The Inventory Manager role is designed for those responsible for parts and inventory management.

Capabilities:

• Inventory Management
  • Track inventory levels
  • Manage parts stock
  • Set reorder points
  • Receive inventory alerts
  • Update inventory counts
• Asset Management
  • Track asset status
  • Monitor asset usage
  • Manage asset checking/checkout assignments

Special Features:

• Receives automatic alerts when inventory is low
• Can generate inventory reports

7. Driver

The Driver role is designed for vehicle operators with limited system access.

Capabilities:

• Work Order Management
  • Submit new work orders
• Feature-Specific Access
  • Submit inspections (if feature enabled)
  • Submit fuel logs (if feature enabled)

Limitations:

• Limited access to system features
• Access to specific features based on feature flags

8. Crew Member

The Crew Member role is designed for general staff with basic system access.

Capabilities:

• Work Order Management
  • Submit new work orders
• Feature-Specific Access
  • Submit inspections (if feature enabled)
  • Submit fuel logs (if feature enabled)

Limitations:

• Limited access to system features
• Access to specific features based on feature flags

4. Location Tracking
   1. Affects all roles
   2. Users can only see work orders and equipment at their assigned locations
   3. If no locations are assigned, users can see all locations
