Managing work orders on the go is essential for keeping your fleet operations smooth and efficient. With Rapid Fleet's mobile app, available on both iOS and Android, shop managers and mechanics can easily access, update, and track work orders from anywhere. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you navigate the process:
1. Accessing Work Orders

Open the Rapid Fleet App: Launch the Rapid Fleet mobile app on your device.

Navigate to Work Orders: From the main dashboard, tap on the Work Orders at the bottom to view all current work orders.
2. Viewing and Filtering Work Orders
In the Work Orders section, you'll find a comprehensive list of all work orders along with their statuses. To efficiently manage and locate specific work orders, utilize the available filters:

All Work Orders or Assigned to Me

Locations
3. Updating a Work Order
To make changes to a specific work order:

Select a Work Order: Tap on the desired work order to open its details.
Once you’re inside the work order, you can perform a variety of actions:
Change Work Order Status

Check In: Marks the work order as ready to be worked.

You will need to enter the current engine hours.

If the work order is already Checked In, you can update the status to:

In Progress
-
Work On Hold
-
Work Complete

When completing the work order, you will be required to enter a note describing the work that was performed.
Navigate Work Order Tabs
At the top of the work order, you’ll see three tabs:

Details – Shows all detailed information related to the work order.

Notes – Displays a full history of status changes and any added notes.

Parts – Lists any parts used during the job.
Use the Action Menu
At the bottom right corner, you’ll see a blue button with three dots (...). Tap it to:

Set Priority

Set Avoidable Expense

Change In/Out of Service Status

Delete the Work Order
Add a Note or Photo

Tap the note icon in the top right corner to add a new note.

You can also attach photos to provide visual context or evidence of work completed.
By using the mobile app, Rapid Fleet gives you the flexibility to manage work orders in real time—right from the field or the shop floor.
