1. Open the Permit / License
- Navigate to Assets → Permit/ License.
- In the left grid you will see available permits/licenses. See this article for information on adding them: Adding a Permit or License
- Right‑click the desired permit or license and select Assign Permit / License.
2. Choose the Assignment Type
- Add / Edit Permit / License Assignment window opens.
3. Enter Assignment Details
- Add any identifying or reference information.
- Select the record from the dropdown (Unit ID, employee, customer, jobsite or yard location).
4. Set Expiration Tracking
When assigning or editing a permit or license:
Expiration and Reminder Dates
- Enter the expiration date.
- Enter the reminder date to trigger advance notification of upcoming renewal.
Assign Roles to Be Reminded
- Select the roles that should receive the reminder (e.g., Dispatch, HR).
- Save the assignment.
When the reminder date arrives, a notification (Reminder Alert) appears at the top of Rapid ERP showing the expiring permit. Open it to view a list of expiring permits.
Visual Expiration Monitoring
- In Assets → Permits, expiration dates display in the right‑side grid.
- Color‑coded indicators highlight how soon a permit is approaching expiration, improving visibility and tracking.
