Overview
Several improvements are made to Permit/License assignment procedure.
- By referring to the “Safety” column on the main dispatch grid, jobs enabled with Safety Required can be identified using the hard hat icon
- Within the Add/Edit Employee window, a new tab has been introduced called "Permit Assignments." This tab contains a comprehensive list of all permits/licenses assigned to the respective operator. A similar tab is also made available for each equipment unit.
- In the Dispatch Jobs window, a new filtering option for operators has been implemented. It is labeled "Permit/License" and facilitates the filtering of operators based on specific licenses.
- When assigning operators to a job, the dispatcher now has the ability to filter the operators, showing only those who possess the required permit/licenses (Qualified Employees) that match the ones assigned to the jobsite.
Benefits
- Jobs with safety requirements are easily distinguishable in the jobs grid.
- The dispatcher can promptly identify which crew members possess the specific permits/licenses that are required for the jobsite.
Specifics
Safety required checkmark and "hard hat" icon.
- Open a job or add a new one.
- Go to Jobsite Information tab and assign a permit/license.
- The assignment procedure is explained in Customer / Job Site Permit Assignments.
- The Safety Required is automatically checked.
- Save the job and Close the window.
- A hard hat icon is displayed in the "Safety" column of the job grid. When the user hovers the mouse cursor over this hard hat icon, a bubble will appear, providing information on the permit/licenses required for this particular job. If the "Powerline" checkmark is ticked for the job, this information will also be included in the displayed bubble.
- When both the permits/licenses for the jobsite and the permits/licenses for the employee have been approved, the status “Approved” will show up in the bubble next to the particular permit/license. Additionally, only permits that have not expired are displayed.
- The assignment status for jobsite can be changed from the Add/Edit Permit/License Assignment window when you create or edit the assignment in Jobsite Information - Permit Assignments area.
The status of an employee assignment can be changed when you add/edit an employee's assignments from Permit Assignments tab in his/her Add/Employee window.
The same icon and the bubble information is shown in the Jobsite field in the Job Information window.
Permit/License tab for Operators and Equipment units
In the jobs grid, hover the mouse cursor over an operator icon. A bubble will appear, displaying the permit/licenses held by this operator, excluding any expired ones
- Double-click on an operator.
- In the Add/Edit Employee window, there is a tab called "Permit Assignments", which shows every permit/license this operator has (even the expired ones).
- Assign/Remove/Edit the permits/licenses the same way as in Assets-Permit/Lic module.
- The same tab is available for every equipment unit.
Permit/License filter
In the Dispatch -Job grid there is a panel called "Operator Filtering Options", which includes a new filter field "Permit/License". From its drop-down list (loaded from Assets - Permit & Licenses) the user can filter the operators by a specific permit (for example "OSHA 10"). If the user chooses more than one permit/license from the dropdown, only employees who possess all of the chosen permits/licenses will show up.
If you open Tools - Attach/Detach Fleet & Crew the selected filter is also applied to the view.
Show Qualified Employees only
- Open or edit a job from the Dispatch Grid.
- Navigate to Crew area (in the lower right side of the window).
- Click on an empty row to assign an operator to the job.
- In the Type field now you have an additional option called "Qualified Employees".
- Upon clicking on it, only employees with the permits/licenses required by the jobsite will be displayed.
- If you choose not to use this specific filter, you can identify qualified employees in the list by the icon that appears after their names.
- Furthermore, operators who are already assigned will also be present in the filtered list, and their names will be shown in bold text.
Note
Selecting only employees with the required permits/licenses for a job is not mandatory. In certain cases, having just one employee with the necessary permits/licenses is sufficient.
