Navigating to Merchant Central
Open Merchant Central from the Accounting tab in Rapid Works ERP.
Overview
The Home Dashboard is your main landing page in Merchant Central. It provides high-level visibility into all payment activity, authorizations, and customer engagement across your account.
Key Dashboard Components
1. Payment Summary
Displays a quick overview of all payments received:
- Total payment amount collected
- Number of payments
- Number of paid invoices
You can also create a new payment directly from this section using the New Payment button. This opens the Virtual Terminal, covered in a separate article.
2. Authorization Summary
This section shows:
- Total amount currently on hold for customer credit cards
- Number of active holds
- Any holds nearing expiration
From here, you can quickly create a new authorization using New Authorization.
3. Link Performance Overview
Shows how customers are engaging with payment links:
- Number of links sent
- Invoice views
- Customer views
- Total paid via links
This reflects activity across both emailed invoice links and payments made through the Customer Portal.
4. Charges Summary
Provides a breakdown of:
- Incurred fees (fees your business pays to the processor)
- Charged amounts (surcharges billed to customers)
- Net amount
The net amount = charged amount – incurred amount.
